Vermont Singer-songwriter Noah Kahan has announced that he will be releasing the lead single off his debut album this week. “Mess” will be released this Friday, March 1st via Republic Records. Kahan took to Twitter yesterday to share some words about “Mess” prior to its release. He said that he wrote it during “a very overwhelming and generally sad” time in his life. It is based on the idea of what would happen if he just decided to give up everything and move back to Vermont. “Mess” is the lead single off of Kahan’s debut album, which is set to be released later this year.
The song’s release is coming just in time for Kahan to embark on a nationwide tour with James Bay, which kicks off on Sunday in Nashville, TN. Following his stint with James Bay, Kahan will be heading over to Europe for a run of shows with Dean Lewis in April.
“Mess” will be available this Friday worldwide, but it is currently available for pre-saving on Spotify and pre-adding on Apple Music.
