A familiar voice to us here at Beyond The Stage Magazine, Noah Cyrus has done it again with a new single release titled “Ready To Go”. Written with her heart, the 22-year-old singer/songwriter shows vulnerability in the newest single taken from her forthcoming debut album The Hardest Part releasing on September 16, 2022.
“Ready To Go” is Cyrus’ third single release this year after “I Burned LA Down” and “Mr. Percocet”. The trio of songs give us a sneak peek into the creative lyricism and exposed emotions that Cyrus has rooted in her upcoming debut album.
The newest single is an earnest take on not being able to let go in a relationship until the other person cuts the cord, even if it means that staying together would be the demise of both sides. With lines like “I’ll stay, we’ll burn/‘Til you leave first” and “I loved you first but you’ll be the first to leave,” they reveal Cyrus’ desire to keep everything together and inability to put herself first. As something we all can relate to, her transparency brings forward a path of self-growth. Sonically, the chords of the acoustic guitar sings with the violin and Cyrus’ beautifully layered vocals. Regarding the new single, Cyrus shares:
“I call this song ‘July’s sister song’ due to their similarity in lyrics, but in actuality they’re really more like cousins. They’re about different people, entirely different storylines, and each brings up different memories and emotions. In a way, I see a lot of growth in myself from who I was then and who I am now, but at the same time it’s still impossible for me to walk away from people I love, even when it’s harmful to myself.”
The Hardest Part, releasing this year via RECORDS/Columbia Records, is composed of ten heartfelt tracks: “Noah (Stand Still)”, “Ready To Go”, “Mr. Percocet”, “Every Beginning Ends”, ”Hardest Part”, “I Just Want A Lover”, “Unfinished”, “My Side Of The Bed”, “I Burned LA Down” and “Loretta’s Song.”
