Happy New Music Friday! Get ready for the weekend with some new tracks from the likes of OneRepublic, James Bay, Maisie Peters and more! See the full guide below.
1. “Run” – OneRepublic
The next installment of OneRepublic’s forthcoming album, Human is one of the strongest singles from the album so far. It talks of younger days and how back then it was all about that fast, city life and making the most of it while you’re in it and looking back on it when you’re older and reflecting on all the lessons you learned.
2. “Know Me Again (feat. Cate)” – Cian Ducrot
A heart-tugging breakup anthem that showcases Cian Ducrot’s killer songwriting and voice. The addition of pop singer-songwriter Cate only makes this track better. The two come together and their vocals mesh just perfectly.
3. “My Back Hurts” – Set Into Motion
Set Into Motion dropped their EP, Something Exciting today and this track is a clear highlight. It’s high-energy from the first note and has strong punk vibes that show clear growth in their music and it shows where the group is headed.
4. “Clueless” – Jordana Bryant
This track is a modern country song at its finest. It has a strong core of a storyline that has a pop-focused vocal that is as fun as it is infectious! Get ready to have this one stuck in your head (not that you’ll be mad about it).
5. “Water Into Wine” – NoMBe
A soothing R&B track that flows easily, like well, water. It’s calming and sweet and talks of the longing of a new love, and wanting to jump into something, even if it might be scary.
6. “Me Without You” – Ashe
A strong breakup track that’s all about the realization that sometimes you are your best self once you split from that person that you thought was your everything. This song is all about the feeling of empowerment once you figure that fact out.
7. “Astronomy” – Conan Gray
A hauntingly beautiful track that is heartbreaking both in the music and the lyrics. There’s comfort in that the song is about two people going through the same tough things and relying on each other to get through it all.
8. “Funeral (feat. James Bay)” – Maisie Peters
Two killer singer-songwriters coming together to make a masterpiece of a song? Um, yes, please! This song opens with James Bay’s soft, but sweet vocal meets Maisie Peters’ and they complement each other perfectly. This track talks of two people who had been with wrong people for so long, that when they finally they never want it to end — even at the funeral.
9. “Break My Heart Myself (feat. Travis Barker)” – Bebe Rexha
Bebe Rexha is back with another strong-willed track that is as catchy as it is empowering. It’s all about not needing anyone else and getting it done yourself.
10. “Higher Power” – Coldplay
The iconic alternative band Coldplay returns with a new track that shows how they have elevated their music with modern production and strong lyrics that will be sure to make this track an instant fan favorite.
