This week’s New Music Friday is one of our best yet thanks to great tunes from
Top 10 Singles for the Week of March 23, 2018:
1. “In My Blood” – Shawn Mendes
The maturity of this track shows a new direction for Shawn Mendes and proves that he’s not a kid anymore. This yearning track will draw you in and give you a glimpse into his heartbreak pain.
2. “Lost In Japan” – Shawn Mendes
That’s right, Mendes in our list twice. He dropped both tracks today and they are both amazing! This track is very different from “In My Blood,” but with the same maturity. A unique modern twist to a love song.
3. “(F**k a) Silver Lining” – Panic! At the Disco
After some mysterious posts on social media, Panic! has announced a new album, tour and dropped some new tracks all in one day. This tune keeps those Sinatra influences at the top and brings in a taste of that pop rock sound that Brendon Urie us best known for.
4. “One Track Mind” – Thirty Seconds to Mars (feat. A$AP Rocky )
An unexpected collab that actually works so well. Jared Leto’s dreamy vocal with the synth backing pulls you in and then A$AP Rocky’s verse comes in and blows it out of the water.
5.“New Houses” – Two Door Cinema Club
Two Door Cinema Club dropped a surprise EP that includes original demos of five tracks from ten years ago! It’s a throwback that fans will really enjoy.
6. “Flames” – David Guetta (feat. Sia)
Good beat? Check. Strong vocal? Check. Great production? Check. It’s only a matter of time until you have this track on repeat.
7. “Lonely” – Matoma (feat. MAX)
A catchy opening that builds up into a great chorus that will make all your pop dreams come true. Matoma and MAX’s vocals intertwined on top of a dance beat is everything we wanted but didn’t know we needed.
8. “Color Blind” – Diplo (feat. Lil Xan)
This track has a cool, infectious summer feel that will have you planning your summer playlist (even though it’s only March…)
9. “Coming Home” – Keith Urban (feat. Julia Michaels)
A country fan’s match made in heaven. The vocals from these two great artists gives this song a refreshing lift that will likely lift your mood simultaneously.
10. “Don’t Give In” – Snow Patrol
The debut single off the forthcoming album, Wildness. It’s reminiscent of 90’s soft rock with a splash of singer-songwriter angst.
