Happy New Music Friday! Today brought some great new tracks from Charlie Puth, Echosmith, Michigander and so many more! Get ready to add these tracks to your weekend playlist.
Top 10 Singles for the Week of March 16, 2018:
1. “Done For Me” – Charlie Puth (feat. Kehlani)
A deeper look into Charlie Puth’s mind with more of a dramatic call. Kehlani’s strong vocal brings this sulky ballad to light.
2. “Let It Be” – Hayley Kiyoko
Hayley Kiyoko dropped a new track from her upcoming album, Expectations, just because “she felt like it.” Well, we are definitely not complaining! The track features intricate lyrics and a good beat and has us even more impatient for the release of the full album.
3. “Over My Head” – Echosmith
Our favorite sibling band is back and better than ever. This track is easily their most mature work with the synth beats we know and love, mixed with strong lyrics and a feeling of determination.
4. “Alone” – Halsey (feat. Big Sean & Stefflon Don)
It can be risky taking a really good track and remixing it — but Big Sean and Stefflon Don managed to do it! We love this upbeat remix just as much as the original!
5.“Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” – Demi Lovato (feat. Q-Tip)
This Elton John remake is part of the icon’s two-album project Revamp and Restoration project and is sure to be a highlight with the vocal power from Lovato and the rapping ability of Q-Tip.
6. “Strawberries & Cigarettes” – Troye Sivan
The sweet love ballad we always wanted, but didn’t know we needed. Part of the Love, Simon soundtrack, it shows a more raw side of Troye Sivan and has us wishing this kind of writing will make an appearance in his new music.
7. “Memorized” – Mat Kearney (feat. RAC)
An unlikely pair, Mat Kearney’s sweet singer-songwriter work gets an upgrade with RAC’s electronica influence. An unexpected jam.
8. “We All Die Young” – The Decemberists
The indie-rockers return with a new album and a new, modern take. Heavy with synth tracks and beats, the group has shown a lot of growth since their last release.
9. “I Wanna Know” – NOTD (feat. Bea Miller)
A highly infectious electronic track that is enhanced by Bea Miller’s killer pop vocal.
10. “East Chicago, IN” – Michigander
Fresh off his new EP, Midland, this track features the sweet, singer-songwriter vibe we love with the help of raw lyrics and emotion.
