Happy New Music Friday, friends! This week brought some great new tracks from Logic, David Guetta, Mac Miller and more. Check out our guide below.
Top 10 Singles for the Week of July 27, 2018:
1. “Girls Night Out” – Charli XCX
A British pop track that feels like it could be straight out of the early 90s and we are so here for it.
2.“One Day (feat. Ryan Tedder)” – Logic
A great mix of vocals — Ryan Tedder’s longing voice opens the track and Logics earnest verses bring the whole track together.
3.“FEFE (feat. Nicki Minaj and Murda Beats)” – 6ix9ine
This collab is really great because Nicki Minaj and 6ix9ine really work together on this, it’s not limited to a verse for each artist. Get ready for all the name dropping in this one.
4. “Don’t Leave Me Alone (feat. Anne-Marie)” – David Guetta
A slow build up to the dance track of the summer. The sweet vocal will get draw you in, then the chorus will keep you there.
5.“What’s the Use?” – Mac Miller
The next track from his forthcoming album, Swimming is a psychedelic jam that is based on great bass and smooth vocals.
6. “Throw a Fit” – Tinashe
From the first note, you can already tell this is going to be great. Definitely one of the catchiest tracks on our list thanks to the ceaseless beat on the chorus.
7. “What Hurts Worse” – Iron & Wine
The first look into a new EP from Iron & Wine titled, Weed Garden. It has that coffee shop-sounding sweetness that we know and love.
8. “pity party” – lovelytheband
These BTS cover stars dropped a new track off their forthcoming album, Finding It Hard to Smile. A clear California-influenced track offers an infectious chorus and smart lyrics.
9. “Underneath the Streetlights in the Winter Outside Your House” – Wallows
Keeping with their vintage-sounding alt-rock, this track has strong guitar riffs against a sweet story.
10.“Side Effects (feat. Emily Warren)” – The Chainsmokers
A strong beat opens this track and offers more of a rock base, than an EDM influence which would be expected. Emily Warren’s vocal over the track takes this to the next level.
