Top 10 New Music Friday Singles for the Week of January 22, 2021:
1. “Lo Vas A Olvidar” – Billie Eilish & ROSALIA
Likely the most highly-anticipated track on this list. Two of the biggest female artists right now have come together to create a pop masterpiece. “Lo Vas A Olvidar” which translates to “you will forget” perfectly combines their two styles. A sure-to-be hit.
2. “sound off” – 44phantom
Alt-pop artist 44phantom returns with a new dreamy and catchy track that will be sure to get stuck in your head (not that you’ll mind).
3. “One Shot” – Prism Bitch
An intriguing guitar opening piques interest and slowly molds to a haunting-vibed chorus that is sure to please.
4. “Lifestyle (feat. Adam Levine)” – Jason Derulo
An unexpected, but awesome collab. The track opens with Jason Derulo’s smooth vocal and as it shifts to the chorus, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine chimes in. As their vocals intermix, it creating a soulful and lively masterpiece.
5. “Rubberband” – Tate McRae
TikTok made her song “you broke me first” skyrocket and this track just might take its place! It just as earnest as some of her best work but her artistry is taken further due to her ability to craft honest lyrics and a strong modern pop track.
6. “All My Favorite Songs” – Weezer
We only have to wait one more week for the full release of Weezer’s album, OK Human. To tide us over, the band dropped a new single that offers a big-band feel with the emo lyrics you know and love. This track definitely has us reeling for the album!
7. “New Love (feat. Diplo & Mark Ronson)” – Silk City & Ellie Goulding
The new EDM track you’ve been waiting for. It combines all the best things about a great dance track and a great pop song. Ellie Goulding’s vocal is infectious throughout and the backing beat is impossible not to dance to.
8. “Stars” – PRETTYMUCH
The latest track from one of our fav boybands is smooth and sultry and will be sure to be an instant fan favorite.
9. “That’s All” – Jetty Bones
Breakout pop artist, Jetty Bones releases her debut track that’s full of hard-hitting beats which back a strong and edgy vocal that will draw you in from the very beginning.
10. “Blueberry Eyes (Remix) [feat. Lil Mosey, SUGA of BTS, Olivia O’Brien] ” – MAX
MAX always delivers vibey and danceable pop tracks and this remix only takes it that much higher thanks to the addition of all these artists! A clear highlight in his discography.
