It’s New Music Friday which means a whole playlist of the best new tunes that debuted this week. Check out our favorites from Why Don’t We, Ariana Grande, The Maine and more!
Top 10 Singles for the Week of January 18, 2019:
1. “Numb Without You” – The Maine
The Maine has just announced their next era, “YOU ARE OK.” The first track from this era is a high-energy anthem that has that classic The Maine sound we know and love.
2. “You and Me” – James TW
Another hit from the former BTS cover star, is a singer-songwriter meets pop sound that talks of pure love.
3.“7 Rings” – Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande just continues to put music out and we are here for it. Her latest track is a fun take on the classic “My Favorite Things.”
4. “I Get No Joy” – Jay Bird
A catchy soul sounding track. Her vocal is strong and has an anthemic vibe to it that will draw you in right away.
5.“Bridges” – JOHNNYSWIM
A singer-songwriter track with a strong backing beat that gives it a modern twist. Add this one to your favorite chill playlist.
6. “7 Minutes” – Dean Lewis
You know him from “Be Alright” — but this new track might just rival it. Complete with the heartbreak we know plus a catchy chorus that slowly builds into lyrics that you’ll want to scream at the top of your lungs.
7. “Mile High (feat. Metro Boomin & Travis Scott)” – James Blake
A dark sounding track that really centers around Travis Scott’s vocal. This will draw you in from the first note.
8. “Land of the Free” – The Killers
A very Bruce Springsteen-esque track that offers backup vocals from large choirs and earnest lyrics about the current state of America.
9. “GIRL” – Marren Morris
Opening with strong guitar, and adding Marren Morris’ vocal creates an angsty tone. She showcases her vocal range when calling out to all the girls.
10.“Big Plans” – Why Don’t We
A synth-pop track that offers serious R&B influences. Hopefully of Why Don’t We’s next effort, this track will be hitting radio waves in no time.
