Happy New Music Friday! Another week has come and gone and this week left us with some great music to jumpstart the weekend! Below are some of our favorite picks from 21 Pilots, DREAMERS, gnash and more!
Top 10 Singles for the Week of August 10, 2018:
1. “Animal” – Troye Sivan
The last single before the full release of the forthcoming record, Bloom is a sweet ballad that draws you in from the first listen. Longing lyrics and smooth vocals make this track one of his best yet.
2.“Shame” – Elle King
After a bit of break from music, Elle King returns with a strong high-energy track with an old school vocal sound that makes this song irresistible. Seriously, try not to dance when you hear it.
3.“8 Letters” – Why Don’t We
We at BTS love a good boyband. Why Don’t We has swept us off our feet with their crisp vocals and sweet lyrics, making them an instant favorite.
4. “Levitate” – Twenty One Pilots
The latest single from the upcoming Trench, is a modern rap-influenced track. With the Twenty One Pilots signature sound and intricate verses it will be a fan-favorite in no time.
5.“All Washed Out” – DREAMERS
After releasing the EP, Launch less than a month ago, the guys of DREAMERS are already back with a new track. It features hard-hitting beats and that great story telling aspect that we just love.
6. “Let’s See What The Night Can Do” – Jason Mraz
The next installment of his upcoming album Know. is the opening track. The track has a soft opening with a “two against the world” vibe. You’ll most likely want to go on a roadtrip after listening to this.
7. “dear insecurity (feat. Ben Abraham)” – gnash
A new track from one of our favorites, gnash accompanied by the superb Ben Abraham. This collab is one of the best has gnash has worked on so far, the natural flow from gnash’s verse and Abraham’s chorus is seamless and beautiful.
8. “4Am” – girl in red
A California-influenced beat paired with a simple but relatable lyrics that we all are probably thinking when we can’t sleep at 4 am.
9. “Young Love” – Alex Aiono
Former BTS cover star, Alex Aiono is back with a new infectious pop track all about, well, young love.
10.“I’m Good” – Wafia
Definitely the most unique sounding track on our list this week. It has an opening that will take you by surprise but adds to the overall song. The chorus is infectious and you’ll catch yourself singing along before the end of the first listen.
