It’s that time again! New Music Friday is here and this week is full of great new tracks from The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Max Leone and more. See the full guide below.
1. “Save Your Tears (feat. Ariana Grande)” – The Weeknd
A new take on a stand-out from The Weeknd’s album, After Hours. This track manages to reach even higher thanks to the addition of Ariana Grande. Together, these two artists take something great and make it even better. It’s smooth and beautiful, everything a good R&B song should be.
2. “HER” – Jordan McGraw
An edgy vibe. This track features synth-pop that’s fun and exciting all the while incorporating quality lyrics that carry their own weight. Together, these two pieces create one of Jordan McGraw’s best tracks yet.
3. “untitled” – Max Leone
This song opens with Max Leone honestly disclosing all his biggest fears. As the track progresses he announces his biggest fear of all: feeling nothing. Emotion is clear on this track from the very start and overflows throughout its entirety.
4. “when was it over? (feat. Sam Hunt)” – Sasha Sloan
A singer-songwriter masterpiece. A simple-sounding track that instantly draws you in with earnest lyrics. Oh, and this collaboration doesn’t hurt either. These two artists come together and meld their styles effortlessly.
5. “Colour Me In” – Hayley Williams
An enchanting track that showcases the whimsical artistry that is Hayley Williams. It will be sure to enchant new and old fans alike and will be sure to shine as some of her best work to date.
6. “Do Si Do” – Shaylen, Bryce Vine & KyleYouMadeThat
The collaboration that we never dreamed of happening, but we are living for. This track takes country line dancing music, the beats of a killer R&B track with bits of songs that will be sure to bring up some nostalgia. Get ready to dance to this one!
7. “Glory” – Kyd The Band
The first installment of the forthcoming Season 4: Series Finale EP, is the last track on the EP and is anthemic and moving. If this track is any indication of what the rest of the EP will be like, let’s just say we’re already on board.
8. “Backseat Rider” – Sara Kays
A cute and sweet ukulele opening describes the joys of young life only to transform into today’s reality of your childhood best friend who you thought that you’d be with has met someone else and you have to watch them from the backseat.
9. “13 Missed Calls” – Zach Hood
A haunting pop track has a simple beat but has an intriguing story that talks of finally letting go of someone toxic, only to have them calling you incessantly to start the drama all over again.
10. “He Said She Said” – CHVRCHES
Strong-willed synth-pop at its finest. The story of this track is all about the difficulty of juggling society’s hypocritical expectations of us.
