“It’s been a long time since Have Mercy has released an album but the time has come,” the band wrote on their Facebook page. A fitting way to announce a new record that fans have been bugging them for, the four-piece band from Maryland has also released the first single off the highly anticipated Make The Best Of It.
Titled “Coexist,” this new song . The video features vocalist Brian Swindle running through a forest, prey to an unseen hunter watching his every move. Mouthing the words to the chorus as he stumbles through the woods, his wounds are a reinforcement of the relationship the song depicts: “Sure, it wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst / When I feel you again, I want to know if it hurts / But to tell you the truth, I’m not the person you knew.”
Make The Best Of It is set to be released on April 21 via Hopeless Records, and pre-orders are currently available. Make sure to catch them this spring supporting Real Friends, along with Tiny Moving Parts, Broadside, and Nothing,Nowhere.
