On May 28, it was announced that the series will be live-streamed each of the next four Thursdays, beginning this week on June 3. The shows dates are:
June 3- Squid

June 17- Griff
June 24- Black Country, New Road
The series is being produced by live stream service and broadcasters Live Now. They have an upcoming performance starring Maroon 5 on June 4. You can also purchase tickets to an exclusive documentary on Dua Lipa.
The Live From Another World series is a good opportunity to see some of pop, r&b, and rock’s biggest rising sensations on a stage. All of the artists have had recent releases and are on many music lover’s radars. Their appearances at this virtual concert only serve to make them more legitimate and established performers.
Squid released their debut full-length album Bright Green Field on May 7. The band will be fun to watch perform. Their music videos are stunning and their talented lead singer, Ollie Judge also plays drums. They began releasing single’s and EP’s in 2017 and expectations were high for their first record. It delivered and will pave the way for other post-genre and noise-rock bands.
Greentea Peng is a self-proclaimed psychedelic r&b singer who put herself on the map with the single “Downers” which captivated audiences in 2018. Her first LP is called Man Made and it comes out on June 4 on AMF Records. She released its newest single “Dingaling” on May 14 along with the songs “Kali V2” and “Nah It Ain’t The Same” earlier this year. Each features her distinct style and the series will serve as a showcase of her creative talent and the first time to hear the new record live.
Griff is a BRIT award-winning pop singer from Hertfordshire, England. She received the award for “Rising Star” at the 2021 ceremony on May 11. She performed her hit single “Black Hole” at the ceremony in an outstanding performance. The track just cracked the top 20 and sits at number 18 on the British singles chart (OCC). Her mixtape One Foot in Front of the Other comes out on June 18. She will be touring this fall to promote the release, so this will be a good chance to see what she is capable of even sooner.
Black Country, New Road came out with their critically acclaimed debut record For the First Time on February 5. It was praised for experimental jazz, rock, and instrumental influences as well as poetic lyricism. The band started releasing singles for the record in 2019. The record is remarkable for its full-length status with a 40:44 runtime. There are only six tracks, but the shortest is four minutes and forty-four seconds. The translation of artistic music into a live performance will be interesting to see from the group.
These artists are ones with talent and it is worth catching their performances. The creative element of each show having control over their set is appealing, too. It is rare that artists have the opportunity to establish themselves on the same stage, but that is exactly the purpose Live From Another World will serve.
