When they released their third album, Abendrot, in October of last year, newly signed to Triple Crown Records, You Blew It unleashed something very special into the world. With twelve beautiful songs to make up a gorgeous emo record, it’s no surprise that it’s managed to pull together a group of extraordinary talent to help create an artistic video to accompany the longest track on the album, “Arrowhead.”
Directed, co-produced, and written by Foxing‘s Josh Coll, the video for “Arrowhead” tells the story of a girl with a flower head whose blossoms have not yet developed, and she is constantly tormented by two other girls with fully blooming dandelion heads. Her anguish is reinforced by vocalist Tanner Jones singing, “There’s got to be something wrong with me,” as she tears at the dead blossoms on her head. Neatly sandwiched between well-placed footage of flowers in various stages of life and the band’s performance, the girl finally achieves full bloom, and one of her tormentors gets her well-deserved end.
You can catch You Blew It on the rest of their winter tour with All Get Out and Free Throw.
