New Orleans is known for its parties, and Voodoo Music + Arts Experience was no exception. Held 3 days over Halloween weekend, this festival offered a little something for everyone plus a bit more. Friday’s lineup featured LCD Soundsystem, Kendrick Lamar, and Galantis. On Saturday, Brand New opened for the Foo Fighters while DJ Snake closed out the EDM-driven Le Plur stage. Ending the festival with a bang on Sunday, Post Malone played to a huge audience set and simultaneously The Killers and Dillon Francis perfectly concluded the night. Although the music rocked, that was certainly not the only thrill of the festival. The Mortuary featured a larger than life interactive graveyard and haunted house while the across the way fans could ride amusement park rides. A visit to the Marketplace brought you into a wonderfully curated area of local New Orleans artists and handcrafted goods. A “Brew Dat” hall was a haven for both sports and craft beer fans as people flocked to watch the World Series on TVs in between sets. Though an unspoken rule, almost every attendee dressed in costume to celebrate an extended Halloween, and the more outrageous the costume the better. Voodoo Music + Arts Experience perfectly embodied the idea of celebration and was a beautiful party for everyone. Check out photos from the event below!
