Wow. We got the chance to see a band called The Maine in Pittsburgh, PA on 4/24, and wow. This band not only has phenomenal music, including the release of their newest record “Lovely, Little, Lonely”, but also by far the most entertaining live performance that Pittsburgh has seen in awhile. They had the crowd dancing from start to finish during their hair-raising performance. The connection from singer John O’Callaghan to the crowd was very intimate, and super fun. At one point the band brought up a fan’s boyfriend, who clearly had no knowledge of any of their music, to sing a song. Not making fun of him, but encouraging him to go and sing it, to which he did. He sang their 2008 hit “Girls Do What They Want” to his own melody. This show is such a party, be sure to catch it in a city near you! In the meantime, you can see photos from the show below!
