Past cover stars of ours, Nothing But Thieves, dropped their third incredible single today titled “Unperson” from the album “Moral Panic”.
The track is a bit different from the other recent singles the band has put out but still a note on the state of the times we are in. It is a nod to George Orwell‘s dystopian novel “1984” to which an Unperson is describes a person whose entire existence has essentially been eradicated of any and all evidence, executed by the totalitarian state.
Following suit with the single, “Is Everyone Going Crazy”, this song is more of an upbeat, fast pace tune with a heavy bass line and some electric elements. We can not look past the lyrics, “This is not what you think it is, it’s worse.” The whole song definitely gets you thinking.
Along with the song, the band released a colorful video which you can find below.
“Moral Panic” is set to release on October 23rd, which you can pre-order by clicking here.
