Top 10 Singles for the Week of September 25, 2020:
1. “Better” – ZAYN
Former One Direction star ZAYN, returns with a new single after some radio silence. The track has a simple beat accompanied by his fluid vocal that leaves us wanting more.
2. “Part of Me” – Caro
An earnest track from the very beginning. A simple beat and honest vocal are qualities present in all of Caro’s work but it’s even better in this new track.
3. “Promised Land” – David Shaw
A soulful and infectious blues track that will draw any listener immediately. Oozing with emotion and relatable lyrics this is sure to be a hit.
4. “forget me too (feat. Halsey)” – Machine Gun Kelly
A punk-infused track that manages to bring two great artists together to create a hard-hitting tune. The addition of Halsey’s strong vocal takes it even higher.
5. “RESET” – Jake Miller
Former BTS cover star Jake Miller returns with a new electronica-pop track that’s a little different from his typical work but showcases his vocal ability.
6. “Good Energy” – Mike Sabath
A unique sound erupts from the very start. This song is definitely danceable with a strong vocal to go right along with it.
7. “survivin’” – Bastille
This new song from the alt-rockers Bastille is insanely reltabale for our current times. It’s still fun and catchy with the additions of fun sounds including keyboards and saxaphones.
8. “Courage to Change (From the Motion Picture ‘Music’)” – Sia
Sia returns with a new track for the “Music” soundtrack and it’s intensely emotional and beautiful. It’s a moving track that shows off some her best work yet.
9. “NO ONE’S IN THE ROOM” – Jessie Reyez
A strong-willed track that talks of the hypocrisy that we find in people that are preaching to kids how to act and struggling to find out who we really are — all to an infectious chorus.
10. “Lighten Up Kid” – Mayday Parade
Everyone’s favorite pop punk band is back with a new three-track single and this is the first release. It’s anthemic and remisnecent of the early days which fans will be sure to love.
