It’s finally New Music Friday! Some awesome albums dropped today like BTS and Andy Black as well as some great singles from Lil Peep, P!nk, blackbear and more! See our full guide below.
Top 10 Singles for the Week of April 12, 2019:
1. “Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey)” – BTS
The KPop boyband everyone loves has teamed up with one of our favorite pop acts and gifted us a high energy track that is the highlight of their album that dropped today.
2. “Better By Myself” – Hey Violet
An angsty and edgy sounding track that offers the clarity of freedom from toxic relationships.
3.“Gym Class” – Lil Peep
This new release from the late Lil Peep is soft, but still keeps with his typical lyrics to create a nice mix of genres and sounds.
4. “Free To Go” – Seeb & Highasakite
A slow building opening leads to a dreamlike pop sound with EDM elements to give it the energy it needs to be added to a party playlist.
5.“Sixteen” – Ellie Goulding
The first track from Ellie Goulding in quite some time and it’s a hit, of course. Her vocals will take you back down memory lane and you’ll look back with a smile.
6. “The Promise” – Andy Black
Opening with hard-hitting piano chords, the track unfolds into an earnest message about the early days.
7. “Doubt It” – The Amazons
One of our favorite rock groups have dropped the second track off their forthcoming album, Future Dust. With an electrifying sound soulful vocals it’s some of their best work yet.
8. “DEAD TO ME” – blackbear
The next installment of the forthcoming ANONYMOUS is a track fueled by anger and moving on from people who don’t matter.
9. “Nightshade” – The Lumineers
Another track from the highly-anticipated, For the Throne (Music Inspired by the HBO Series Game of Thrones). This track has a sound of longing and offers a new side to The Lumineers in the best way possible.
10. “Can We Pretend (feat. Cash Cash)” – P!nk
A story about wanting to pretend things are better than they are, that they’re like younger days that have gone by. A danceable track that will have you reminiscing.
