Happy December, friends! And Happy New Music Friday! As always, this week’s guide is full of great new tracks from 5 Seconds of Summer, The Summer Set, Joshua Bassett and more! See below for the full guide.
- “2011” – 5 Seconds of Summer
5SOS returns with a track that is all about thinking about the good ol’ days of 2011. It’s infectious and showcases the voices of all the members, which only solidifies they really do miss those days. - “Back Together” – The Summer Set
The Summer Set shocked the world with its sudden return earlier this year. This track encompasses the entire journey about how that reunion happened. It’s soft and sweet and is oozing with realization. - “Crisis” – Joshua Bassett
High Schoo Musical The Musical The Series’ lead Joshua Bassett drops a track that appears to be a response to his ex’s accusations. It’s slow and has a beautiful guitar melody that pulls any listener in. - “Coconuts” – Kim Petras
This is probably the catchiest track on this list. It’s poppy, fun and will be sure to get anyone dancing. This song is begging to be played live. - “Wandered to LA” – Juice WRLD & Justin Bieber
A catchy song that is all about ending up in LA and letting it take you where it wants. Justin Bieber’s verse adds to the track bringing everything together seamlessly. - “Won’t See Me Crying” – sheyda
A hard-hitting track that is all about never letting your guard down to reveal that someone actually hurt you. Sheyda’s vocal is beautiful and perfectly tells the story. - “Holiday Records” – New Found Glory
An unexpected holiday song that will be sure to please. New Found Glory gathers a group of loved ones to play Christmas’ best songs. This song is a fun way to get into the season! - “It’ll Be Okay” – Shawn Mendes
A heartbreaking tragedy of a track. This song is all about the fresh sting of a breakup and Shawn Mendes’ vocal is haunting. This will be sure to pull on anyone’s heartstrings. - “I Hate U” – SZA
Powerhouse vocalist SZA finally officially released her now-TikTok-famous track that originally was only available on SoundCloud. It’s simple but anthemic all the same. - “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” – Tate McRae
Tate McRae is in the holiday spirit. Her take on this Christmas ballad is beautiful and earnest. Be sure to get ready for the holidays with this track!
