It’s not March 21 yet but it’s definitely Aries season.
The Orange County native released a brand new track, “DITTO”, on Friday. We see Aries blending the genres of hip-hop, pop and alternative to create this light and bouncy song of reconnecting with a past relationship. It is the chill, feel-good track that we never thought we needed. It’s fresh and unique.
The music video, directed by Aries, is a fun and artsy visual, showing the 22-year-old artist being one with nature. The video has quickly picked up steam, garnering an impressive 78.4K views in just 23 hours.
This single marks his first of 2021. It follows the release of his last two singles, “CONVERSATIONS” and “FOOL’S GOLD”. Both songs performed very well commercially. “CONVERSATIONS” was able to rake in 3.1 million streams on Spotify, while “FOOL’S GOLD” gained a whopping 9.8 million streams on Spotify along with 1.1 million views on YouTube.
These three singles are his latest releases since his debut album, WELCOME HOME, back in 2019. The album was a huge success, amassing over 200 million streams worldwide! It was so popular that Aries sold out all 21 of his shows in North America and Europe. Very impressive for a debuting artist.
Aries takes the definition of an artist to its fullest potential. He’s not only a singer but a rapper, producer, director, graphic designer, illustrator — he’s a modern day renaissance man. Everything from the design of his WUNDERWORLD brand, production of his videos and his music, it is all Aries. Talk about a one man band.
His stock is only going to go up from here — and let us tell you, it is going up really fast. Like GameStop fast, except he’s not dropping off anytime soon.
He’s the hottest thing in music today. If his last three singles are any indication of what his next album will be like, then we are in for another banger project.
