“The rumors are true!” announced Lady Gaga via her social media accounts on December 19th. Multiple sources on twitter had been claiming that Gaga would be taking up a Las Vegas residency, but with no confirmation from the superstar, fans were hesitant to believe the rumors. However, these rumors were confirmed by Gaga herself, stating on twitter, “It’s been my lifelong dream to be a Las Vegas girl, I’m so overjoyed!” LOVE YOU LITTLE MONSTERS WE DID IT, MEET ME IN Las Vegas!”
The residency will take place at the Park Theater at Park MGM, starting in December of 2018. It will span two years, and while not confirmed, reports are saying there will be approximately 50 shows throughout her residency. Gaga joins the likes of Bruno Mars and Cher, both of whom will have residencies at the Park Theater in 2018, as well as other Vegas acts at different venues such as Britney Spears, Céline Dion, Jennifer Lopez, and Mariah Carey. While no individual dates have been announced, more details surrounding dates and ticketing information are expected to be released in the coming months.
