It’s a pair that was always meant to be, isn’t it?
After a lot of hype and rumors over the past few months, Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile are releasing a collaboration album. You might know Barnett from her acclaimed debut album “Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit”, released in 2015. Kurt Vile has been releasing music for years, most notably his 2015 hit “Pretty Pimpin’.” When comparing their music, it seems like their collaboration album, “Lotta Sea Lice”, out 10/13, just makes sense.
“Continental Breakfast” is their second single from this album, following first single “Over Everything”. The video has a strong sense of nostalgia, focusing on things like childhood toys and family photos, all while being very casual with the artists themselves, almost as if you were in their homes with them. Plus, it has cats.
