The wait is over. 2020 might finally be salvaged as Kid Cudi just revealed all the details for his upcoming album, Man on The Moon III: The Chosen, including release date, collaborations, artwork and setlist.
Releasing on Dec. 11, just four days from the date of publication of this article, the third installment of the Man on The Moon series comes more than 10 years after the release of Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. After having released the first two installments of the series almost within a year of each other, Cudi then took 10 years to finally release the third one, so it’s safe to say that the hype around the upcoming release is very high.
Just like the previous two, the upcoming installment is also divided into four acts, namely “Return 2 Madness,” “The Rager, The Menace,” “Heart of Rose Gold” and “Powers.” The album will feature collaborations with the late Pop Smoke, Skepta, Phoebe Bridgers and Trippie Redd.
The back cover of the album also mentions the return of the production team that “helped start it all” on Man on the Moon: The End of Day : Plain Pat, Emile Haynie and Mike Dean, serving as the best way to come a full circle and wrap up the trilogy.
Cudi tweeted out the album art as well as the setlist and in another tweet posted a teaser for the album titled “THE TRILOGY CONTINUES.” Watch the teaser below.
