Kelsea Ballerini is finishing off The First Time era on a high note with the fourth and final single from the album ‘Yeah Boy’. The song is closing out the singers highly acclaimed album on a high note, and leaving Ballerini to expand with her sophomore release that she is currently working on. ‘Yeah Boy’ is an upbeat, fun and sassy track that will sure to bring everything full circle to an era of changes, firsts and history making.
The track was co-written with Keesy Timmer and Forest Glen Whitehead. It’s the track that could make more history for Ballerini as it follows 3 consecutive No.1 singles making her the first ever female to hit No.1 with her first three singles from her debut album. The most recent ‘Peter Pan’ has topped the charts but she’s excited to end The First Time releases with a fun and flirty single.
“We went back and forth on whether to do another single from the album or do something new,” she told Rolling Stone. “We just felt like ‘Peter Pan’ moved up the charts a lot quicker than we expected – which is such a blessing… but ‘Yeah Boy’ captures that fun youthfulness, and I thought it would be good to circle back and end on that note.”
And we know she is ending on a high note. “Yeah Boy” is the perfect track to end with, and one that we know will skyrocket up the charts in no time. In fact, it’s a track that every girl can relate too, which is something Ballerini doesn’t struggle with. If anything, she nails it every time. The girl is fun, sassy and relatable in every track she writes. “Yeah Boy” is no exception to what we already know about the country starlet.
In addition to “Yeah Boy” being the new single, Ballerini will also be heading out on her first ever headlining tour kicking off October 21 through December 10. We’ll also be expecting some new music from the country star soon. “I have a lot of songs, I’m just right now trying to figure out what exactly it is I want to say.”
