At midnight Justin Bieber finally gave his fans what they’ve been waiting for, Justice, his long-awaited sixth studio album. It was released 11 years after his debut studio album My World 2.0 down to the exact day, March 19. It has been on our radars since late 2020 when Bieber began releasing singles and teasing an album.
The first album single was “Holy” with Chance the Rapper released in September. It was one of Bieber’s first “Christian” songs reflecting on his faith which has grown and developed over the years. The song peaked at the third spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 on its second week, marking his 20th top 10 song on the chart. He is only the 20th artist in the chart’s history to reach this achievement.
The single was accompanied by a powerful music video directed by Colin Tilley. Its message on struggles, faith, and love has reached people across the world, helping it amass over 132 million views on YouTube.

“Holy” was followed by three more album singles “Lonely” with benny blanco, “Anyone,” and “Hold On.” Prior to the release of “Hold On” on March 5, Bieber also created JP6 an EP of the singles, including the acoustic versions of “Holy” and “Lonely.”
The four singles have garnered over two billion streams worldwide. Headed into the release, the tracks had amassed an equivalent of 400 thousand albums in the U.S. and over 1.3 million albums worldwide.
The singles were also accompanied by music videos as part of their release, allowing us to see Bieber in multiple roles. From a boxer to his teenage self on tour struggling mentally, we got it all. “Lonely” specifically left a mark on many people as they got to see that his life wasn’t only what we saw on the stage.

While he was releasing his own music, Bieber was also collaborating on songs with other artists.
In November, he and Shawn Mendes released their single “Monster,” included on Mendes’s most recent album Wonder. He even was part of the remix of hit single “Mood” originally by 24kGoldn featuring iann dior. The remix also includes popular Latin singer J Balvin.
In honor of Justice, Bieber teamed up with digital marketing platform Propeller to generate support for organizations that embody justice. Some nonprofits included in the campaign are Alexandria House, Equal Justice Initiative, Poor People’s Campaign, Baby2Baby, The King Center, and This Is About Humanity.
The campaign encourages Bieber’s fans to support while entering them to win some big prizes. The Grand Prize includes a pair of floor tickets to a show of your choice when he goes on tour in 2022, an Epiphone Hummingbird Artist guitar signed by Bieber, and a shopping spree worth up to $500 of Justice merchandise from his online store.
Leading up to the album release, he performed an NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert where he sang the album singles, as well album hit “Peaches.” The song, like many others on the collaboration-heavy album, featured other artists. R&B singers and songwriters Giveon and Daniel Caesar accompanied Bieber on the track and in the music video which was also released today. The two singers brought deep, sultry, effortless vocals to the piano and drum-heavy blend of jazz, pop and R&B.

The album includes collaborations from other names in music like Khalid, The Kid LAROI, Dominic Fike, BEAM, Burna Boy, and, of course, Chance the Rapper and benny blanco.
Right after the album and video premiered at midnight, Bieber performed on The Late Late Show with James Corden, which airs every weeknight at 12:37 a.m. on CBS. For his live performance, he sang “Hold On.”
Since rising to fame in 2009, Bieber has garnered over 75 billion career streams and over 70 million albums sold worldwide. He is the #1 artist on YouTube with over 60 million subscribers worldwide, and he broke global records at Spotify with over 65 million monthly listeners.
Bieber continues to reign as one of the biggest artists in the world! He sure is one of our favorites and we are always excited to see what he has in store for us next. Beliebers for life!
