Justin Bieber officially began his new era with the release of his new single with Chance the Rapper “Holy” at midnight today. The single follows the recent news of his world tour postponement for his last album Changes which debuted at#1 on the Billboard 200.
Centered around love, relationships, and faith, the song gives an inside look into Bieber’s personal feelings by tying his faith, marriage to Hailey Bieber, and love for others together.
The single was accompanied by a music video that also premiered at midnight. The touching and passionate video takes viewers through a rollercoaster ride of emotion. What starts out as a happy story portraying Bieber and his on-screen partner in a loving relationship with each other and living joyful lives turns sad.
The young couple goes through struggles together after Bieber loses his construction job at a plant. They are no longer able to afford their apartment and get evicted, leaving them homeless and on the streets. Luckily, the video doesn’t end on a sad note and takes the audience right back up the roller coaster.
But, I don’t want to spoil the ending. Though, I will say that it shows a great testament to kindness and loving your fellow humans.

Fans got extra lucky because not only did Justin release the song and video, but he also did a livestream with Chance the Rapper immediately after the release. The stream includes the guys joking around, rapping together, celebrating, and talking about the phases they’ve gone through together overtime. They also shared how the song came to be.
Bieber teases about his upcoming album that he’s working on. “This album is really some of the best music I’ve made,” Bieber said on the live. In response, Chance said “It’s some of the best music I’ve ever heard period,” and referred to it as groundbreaking music. Way to get us all excited Chance!
