Fresh off his starring role as Ricky on Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Joshua Bassett has just released his new single “Anyone Else.” After signing with Warner Records, the singer/actor/multi-instrumentalist released his first single “Common Sense” back in early April. The acoustic track shows Bassett taking an understated approach to pop music, and his new single “Anyone Else” doubles down on that sound.
The track’s lush acoustic vibe gives Bassett’s lyrics and vocal timbre room to soar, leaving him the undeniable star of the show. Not only did Bassett write the song, he also directed the music video, and played multiple instruments on the track – including drums, guitar, and bass. After seeing Bassett in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, we had no doubts that he was a star in the making.
