The Jonas Brothers have triumphantly entered 2020 with the release of their new single “What A Man Gotta Do.” The brothers have been teasing the song and music video all week long with screen captures and faux movie posters for the video.
“What A Man Gotta Do” is an upbeat percussion and acoustic guitar driven tune, which is a great step forward following the band’s wildly successful comeback album Happiness Begins, which was released last summer. The brothers once again teamed up with Ryan Tedder for the track, along with David Stewart and Jess Agombar, all who really helped bring the track’s grooviness and anthemic feel to life.
The music video is a fun play on the iconic movies “Risky Business,” “Grease,” and “Say Anything.” All three brothers star in the video, along with their wives, making the video a fun family affair. Director Joseph Kahn perfectly captured each brother’s personality through the video’s fun, goofy, and cinematic vibe.
The release of “What A Man Gotta Do” is a great step forward for the Jonas Brothers following the banner year they had in 2019 – from the release of their #1 comeback single “Sucker” to the release of Happiness Begins, and their 70+ date North American tour which garnered over one million tickets sold.
