This past Friday, singer-songwriter and producer, Joji, held an hour and a half live stream show called, “The Extravaganza“. Joji invited fans to join him for a 3-show, one-night-only event where he performed songs off of his 2018 release, BALLADS 1, as well as songs off his most recent album release, Nectar.
“The Extravaganza” took the virtual audience through various scenes that were reminiscent of a circus. Joji opened his show sitting in a dunk tank waiting to plummet into the water as he sang his song “Sanctuary”. Many characters stood in line to try and knock Joji down until a baseball player ended his performance landing him in the water.
Throughout the night, Joji sported many flashy, dashing suits and shades during songs including “Mr. Hollywood” — he even performed “Attention” whilst prancing around in a horse costume!
Joji was not the only performer as he was joined on stage by two very special guests — the infamous scarecrow that could riff on the keys harder than anyone we’ve ever seen and a guest who appeared to be the one and only, Justin Timberlake (though Joji had to ask “Justin” to leave after multiple attempts of him popping into his performances… Sorry, “Justin”)!
Fans not only enjoyed Joji’s performances of his old and new tracks, but they were also invited to watch a magician and opera singer hit Joji’s Talent Show stage and they were also invited into his “kitchen” to observe his erratic dinner-making during his performance of “Your Man”.
In Joji-fashion, he reffed an intense MMA fight as he closed “The Extravaganza” event with a performance of “Pretty Boy”, which features Lil Yachty.
Joji put on one of the most fun, unique, and quirky shows and we cannot wait to see what kind of party he will bring to us when we can all be together again in person.
