A few weeks ago, Jimkata, an electro-rock trio hailing from Ithaca and Los Angeles, released their single, “Weight Of Paradise”. The single celebrates the gift of life and the weight it can carry when writing your own story. The hopeful lyrics are backed by triumphant instrumentation of heavy synths, marching drums, and bright guitars. “Weight Of Paradise” truly reminds us how lucky we are to be alive.
The single is featured on their forthcoming, highly-anticipated album, Bonfires. The album is set to be released in the Spring of 2021. This will mark their seventh studio album after taking a two and a half year hiatus. It has been over four years since the trio has released a full-length project and they’re coming back in hot. Jimkata sets their release of Bonfires as a series of singles with accompanying visuals and merch every month.
