LA’s own Jazzie Young released an EP titled 27 Club on August 5, written entirely by herself and produced by Mike Post. The project features the song “cigarettes & heartbreak” – a story of reminiscing over a relationship that is over.
Young released a killer music video that is visually stunning. It was shot by an all female team, and Jazzie took on the roll of being the executive producer, creative director, and stylist. Inspiration was pulled from the 70s.
With red tones, a frowning balloon, and a solemn Jazzie, the shots create a moody atmosphere, giving watchers all the feels. Of course, the lyrics contribute as well.
Young’s father, Jesse Colin Young, was the lead singer of the iconic 60s band The Youngbloods. Following after her dad, Jazzie Young began writing music of her own and started releasing in 2019. She found much success with her first EP grown up & grown apart and we can’t wait to watch her grow some more!
