DJ and EDM extraordinaire ILLENIUM has just released the video for his new single “Hearts on Fire”. The soaring dance track also features Korean EDM artist Dabin and Canadian synth-pop songstress Lights. The video starts by setting the scene; a deep grey fog, abandoned buildings, and a couple embracing in a dystopian world. As the track’s guitar-driven production builds alongside Lights’ stellar vocal performance, so does the video’s narrative.
Our heroine discovers a map and begins searching for an area marked with a red circle. When the bridge hits, she finds said area, and a garage door begins to open. Once inside, the color palette immediately changes to a fiery orange. The dichotomy between the grey of the outside world and the vibrance of the orange bunker makes for a stunning visual contrast that makes track’s drop hit even harder. With this song and video, ILLENIUM continues his streak of killer EDM tracks with visuals worth melting over. Be sure to check out the video below!
