Nearly 2 1/2 years after the release of his debut album, pop superstar Harry Styles has announced the release for his highly anticipated sophomore album Fine Line, which is set to drop on December 13th via Columbia Records.
Staying true to his charming, yet mysterious presence, Styles has been teasing fans for over a month with cryptic tweets about new music. The tweets began after Styles surprised fans by dropping his song “Lights Up,” which is a song rooted in personal freedom and not being afraid of who you are. The song debuted at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the steamy music video for the song has already garnered over 30 million views since it’s release three weeks ago.
After the release of “Lights Up,” Styles announced that he will starring as the host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live on November 16th. This will be his third time taking the SNL stage — once as a musical guest with One Direction, and once as the musical guest leading up to the release of his debut album in 2017. Styles has been laying down some teasers for a song that is supposedly called “Watermelon Sugar,” which is now leading fans to speculate if it will be the second song he performs during his time on SNL on the 16th. With SNL and the release of Fine Line on the horizon, Styles is setting himself up to have a massive year in 2020.
