The motion-picture Gully is set to release today (June 4) in theaters and On Demand. The film follows three marginalized Los Angeles youth as they venture out for a night of partying. It held its original premier at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2019 where it was picked up to be theatrically distributed. Jacob Latimore, Charlie Plummer, and Jonathon Majors lead the film, while some big Hollywood names feature in supporting roles, including Terrance Howard (Iron Man), Amber Heard (Aquaman) and John Corbett (Sex and the City). Watch the trailer below.
Alongside the big names in the cast, Epic Records, on June 3, via social media, released the artists who are to feature on the film’s soundtrack and also the official track-list. Big names that stand out are pop-star Dua Lipa (who most recently won a Grammy for her album Future Nostalgia) and Grammy-winning musical force Miguel. Song titles such as “Blacks n Mexicans” and “Murderer” set the tone of the film as rough, but also thoughtful, critical, and potentially introspective. The full track-list can be viewed below.
1. 21 Savage – “Betrayed”
2. Ty Dollar $ign, Schoolboy Q & B-Real – “Blacks n Mexicans”
3. Don Toliver – “Won’t Stop”
4. Miguel – “Violent Dreams”
5. Buddy – “Murderer”
6. Snoh Aalegra – “Troubled Waters”
7. Gary Clark, JR. – “We Stay Up”
8. 2 Chainz, Sleepy Rose, & Mike WILL Made-It – “Posed To Be”
9. Dua Lipa – “Can They Hear Us”
