On May 13th, indie-rock trio Goldpark released their first single off their upcoming EP titled “Lady Lightyear”. This ethereal track is perfect for blasting in your car with the windows rolled down- a jam for sure.
The Nashville-based trio is composed of Wes James (vocals), Andrew Smith (guitar) and Kyle Neblett (drums). Every collaboration is a great result of their bond as not only musicians, but friends as well.
The dance track was produced by Jeremy Lutito who is known for working with artists such as Needtobreathe, Lennon Stella and Ingrid Michaelson. It tells the story of a love affair with an intergalactic metaphor throughout, classifying love as a magical experience.
Their sophomore EP, Goldpark Two, is expected to release in late 2022. Their debut EP, Goldpark One, was released in 2021 and received great praise. Notably, their single “Killer Queen (What I Need)” landed on Lightning 100’s “Artist of the Week”.
The group can be seen playing shows all around Nashville and across the country (Bonnaroo and WonderRoad). Currently, they are opening with Thompson Springs and The Thing With Feathers.
We are counting down until the release of Goldpark Two. In the meantime, we have “Lady Lightyear” playing on repeat!
