Elle Winter has released her debut single “Sick of You” and we are totally obsessed with it. The danceable single of her upcoming EP is a work of art. If you haven’t heard her name, don’t worry because it will soon become one you won’t forget. The single Elle said was written on her last day in LA of this particular trip. “I wrote Sick of You with the Orphanage and Ricky Manning on my last day in LA of that trip, during the trip I had done the majority of the EP and I was feeling so much love and excitement as it came to a close, that this mentality basically carried us into this last session. I had drawn upon an experience of mine where I felt this instant connection with someone and wanted to bring that feeling to life in a song” Speaking as a listener we can tell you she did just that, the emotion and feeling you can hear in the lyrics is amazing. It takes a powerful song writer to be able to create that, and Elle did just that.
“Sick of You” is the first single of her upcoming EP set to release this fall. Her music is described as pop with a bit of soul as well as EDM influences. Elle told us that each song tells her own personal stories. “It does so in a way that allows me to display my love of singing and music. The EP really is like getting a look into my heart, mind and soul.” It takes a true artist to be releasing their debut EP and leaving it all on the table basically, with the way Elle spoke about it, it seems she put her all into this, giving us a deeper insight as to who she is, and we cannot wait to hear it.
If you enjoyed Elle’s new single “Sick of You” then you’ll be pleased to hear she’ll be singing that along with other songs of hers at radio shows across the country this summer. We asked Elle what she was most looking forward to, hint: meeting a particular boy band. “I am excited to perform my new music! I was on tour earlier this year, and some of the most special moments of my life were seeing people singing lyrics, stories and real experiences of mine, back to me. Those moments are what is most important for me about being a musician, connecting with others and performing allows me to do just that. It is also incredible that we all can come together and leave our lives for an hour, 30 minutes or whatever it may be and enjoy a show. I think it’s wonderful. So in short, I am so excited to sing my new music for these audiences! Side note, I am SO excited to meet the Jonas Brothers, naturally.” Well, can you blame her? Don’t we all want to meet the Jo Bros?
Elle Winter is a name you won’t be forgetting any time soon. She wants people to get to know her and get to know themselves better through her music. Most important, Elle hopes people feel joy when listening. “In my music I am as honest and open as possible by telling my genuine experiences. I hope, in doing so, I can let those who listen to my music feel a sense of solidarity with me and be able to embrace and enjoy life for all it brings our way. The tough times and joyous moments.”
We are so excited to be apart of Elle Winter’s journey and hopefully see her accomplish her goal of performing at her dream venue Madison Square Garden or even one day collaborating with idols, Ed Sheeran or Bruno Mars. We do know one thing for sure, “Sick of You” is going to be the song of the summer!
