Indie Singer-Songwriter Gavin Haley is back with another single, “2FU”, following his recent collaboration with rapper Yung Pinch on “Tati”. “2FU” is a vulnerable song breaking down Gavin’s own struggles and experiences with drugs and mental health.
“In 2018, I didn’t leave my apartment for like that whole year, besides to go to the studio and get food. I was just in another world, dealing with health problems. I felt so isolated from everything, but I didn’t have the energy to be there for anyone but myself, not even close friends,” says Gavin of the track. “‘2FU’ is inspired by that time in my life, and the feeling of being stuck somewhere.”
Gavin also released a music video to pair with his new single.
The music video opens up with Gavin cleansing his body with sage. The video follows him as he sings to the camera about his experiences and dances down an empty road.
With 25 million total streams in just two years and acclaim from Ones To Watch, Billboard, Alternative Press, and more, Gavin has proven to deliver a feel-good, alternative pop sound. And he isn’t stopping anytime soon.
