Looking for some chill music to get you through finals week? Well, we’ve got you covered. Check out these tracks (and listen on Spotify here) to help ease the stress:
- “Oh Woman Oh Man” – London Grammar
The newest single from this British trio is perfect to listen to while studying. This soulful tune with sweeping melodies is just one track off their upcoming album “Truth is a Beautiful Thing” which is expected to come out June 9 – something to look forward to this summer!
- “Lust for Life” – Lana Del Rey
Here’s another artist with an album coming soon! “Lust for Life” (feat. The Weeknd) is a hazy, layered 60’s-inspired track blended with Lana’s delicate vocals and The Weeknd’s falsetto.
- “Deep the Water” – Lewis Watson
Lewis’ new album “Midnight” is the perfect soundtrack for some exam motivation, or even just to wind down after a long day. Check out his website for upcoming tour dates if you’re in need of a post-finals celebration.
- “Hurricane” – MS MR
This churning, dramatic song is the most popular by the New York City duo, and rightfully so. The track is reminiscent of Lana Del Rey’s style, and its echoey sound is irresistible. Not to mention, the lyrics in the chorus, “Welcome to the inner workings of my mind…“ seem appropriate for finals week.
- “Keep Me Crazy” – Sheppard
Although this group is best known for their upbeat song “Geronimo,” the newly released acoustic version of “Keep Me Crazy” is sweet and soothing.
- “Creep” – Kina Grannis
This singer-songwriter has developed quite a following online by releasing covers of contemporary pop hits with her own folksy acoustic twist. Check out her YouTube channel for more covers and original music.
- “Location” – Khalid
19-year-old Khalid’s soulful and youthful spirit shines on his single, “Location,” which is a cool R&B track about young love.
- “Love on the Weekend” – John Mayer
What better way to ease the stress of finals than by listening to John Mayer’s new original music? After a three-year hiatus, John has returned to his pop-rock roots with this bluesy tune. Be sure to check out his newly released album, too.
- “Oceans Away” – A R I Z O N A
With a debut album that dropped May 19th, this electro-pop group has been teasing fans with singles for the past few weeks and has really grown after a huge summer tour.
- “The Sound” – The 1975
This funky, energetic song is perfect for a late-night energy boost or even as a victory song for the end of finals! Plus, the band recently teased Twitter about new material coming in 2017, and we can’t wait!
