The 61st annual Grammy Awards are right around the corner. Here is everything you need to know about the show!
This year the number of nominees in several of the big categories has grown from 5 to 8 – allowing room for some artists that would not have been considered in the past. Instead of handing over award after award to legacy artists and safe choices, the nominations have been flooded with up and coming artists and some more offbeat choices. Yes, the Grammy Awards are voted on by the music industry. However, this Grammy Awards has the potential to mark a shift in the way the music industry values new artists. There are over 80 different awards categories, but only the major awards will be televised. You can view the complete list of nominees here. Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar seem to be the most likely to clutch several awards, both with multiple nominations in major categories. Here are our staff’s predictions for who will win the top 10 categories this year.

The 2019 Grammy Awards will air Sunday, Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It is available to stream via Grammy.com and CBS.com. Alicia Keys will be the night’s host and performances include Luke Combs (Best New Artist Nominee), Katy Perry, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, and Janelle Monae. There is also a collaboration between Red Hot Chili Peppers performing and Post Malone scheduled. Stars presenting the awards include Kelsea Ballerina, John Mayer, Smokey Robinson, BTS, Anna Kendrick, and Jada Pinket Smith. Tune in on Sunday to see the most star-studded night in music unfold!
