One week later, Ellie Goulding continues to celebrate her first live show of 2020, The Brightest Blue Experience, that was held at the iconic Victoria & Albert Museum located in London. The show came a little over a month after the English singer-songwriter released her fourth studio album, Brightest Blue.
The show was an exclusive pay-per-view broadcast presented by LIVENow that took the virtual audience through many corridors and “stages” throughout the museum. Ellie Goulding performed songs off of her latest album as well as fan favorites including the 2015 Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack hit, “Love Me Like You Do”.
Goulding was backed by an incredible group of live musicians, string players, and vocalists. She was also accompanied by many special guests in-person and “virtually”.
We are met in a pool mid-show with Ellie Goulding joined by the sensational 2017 BBC Young Dancer winner, Nafisah Baba, and Austrian Hang player and percussionist, Manu Delago, for an intimate, acoustic performance of Goulding’s song, “Flux”.
Lauv, blackbear, and Diplo also made appearances as they were all projected onto the walls and curtains sharing the stage with Ellie Goulding for songs featured on the album: “Slow Grenade”, “Worry About Me”, and “Close to Me”.
Ellie Goulding closed the evening with an inspiring and triumphant performance of her title track, “Brightest Blue”. Ellie Goulding once again proves to be a powerful force in Pop Music as she gave one of the most reflective and promising performances of 2020.
