Funky, a word that can be defined as: ” Having or using a strong dance rhythm, in particular, to that of funk.” The term is synonymous with cool, hip, and trendy. Whenever a song is played that carries a funky tune, it does nothing but help to bring a smile to the listener’s face, and make one want to dance.
Funky can also be defined as Charles On TV’s latest song, “Golden Alligator.” Released on May 13th, the New York singer and songwriter’s new tune carries an elastic disco-tech beat with a soulful heart.
“Golden Alligator” follows the 2021 release of “Strongman,” as well as the 2020 single “Love.” “Golden Alligator” centers on the “era of perpetual falsehoods.” Through his witty lyrics and keen observations, the song oozes a tone of truth and reflection for humanity and a youthful generation.
Shot and edited by Charles On TV from his trip to California last year, the video for “Golden Alligator” helps to carry the message forward for the irony that can be found in society, and the verbal hypocrisy that we are all fed to believe.
