BXB LOVE is having a ball in her new single “IGNORANCE SONG.”
LOVE dropped her rock-heavy single on Friday and it is a smash! Filled with bass-heavy drums and vibrant electric guitars, she delivered a fun and boppy track. She’s clearly having fun on this track and you can hear it in her hazy-layered vocals.
“IGNORANCE SONG” is an eclectic mix of genres that blend together beautifully. It is a song that is all about self-empowerment. Love provides the inspiration behind the single.
“Life is a performance, and we can choose the labels and identities that we use to express our being, without being attached to them. We get to grow, evolve, change, shed. And there’s really nothing to prove to anyone once you free yourself of the belief that you need to prove your worth, or validate/justify how you choose to express your being. It’s my anthem to a generation that is rewriting what identity means and the ways in which we choose to express that.”
We had a blast just listening to the song. But we know when she performs this song live, it will be a whole new experience and we can’t wait.
This song comes after the release of the singer’s debut single, “matrix,” back in April. It is a softer, more acoustic track that shows LOVE in a moment of self-introspection and realization.
BXB LOVE (Natasha Pheko) is a Canadian-born, LA-based artist who is looking to speak deeply of the feelings that our current generation is going through. She’s not an artist who wants to be put in a box as she looks to push and even break boundaries.
LOVE is telling a story like no other and she’s doing it on her terms. Her creative style and vision are absolutely unique. She keeps listeners on their toes with every single she releases because no one knows what to expect from her.
Whatever she has in store, we know it will be something we’ve never heard of before.
