Billie Eilish has announced her third studio album Hit Me Hard And Soft. The album will be released on May 17 via Darkroom and Interscope Records. Eilish shared an 18-second teaser trailer promoting the record. Scroll down to watch.
Eilish has been alluding to a third album for some time. She posted about new music on Instagram. She told Jimmy Fallon that her third record was “almost done” during an appearance on NBC’s The Tonight Show in December.
Eilish said she wouldn’t release any singles leading up to the album.
According to a release, Eilish co-wrote Hit Me Hard And Soft with her brother FINNEAS, who also produced the album.
Eilish recently made headlines for saying it was “wasteful” for artists to make numerous colored-vinyl variants of their record. A spokesperson for Eilish said Hit Me Hard And Soft will be released on limited variants in a continued effort to reduce waste and combat climate change.
Eilish hasn’t released a full-length album since 2021’s Happier Than Ever. She shared the single “What Was I Made For?” as part of the 2023 Barbie movie soundtrack.
