This is not a joke – Big Time Rush is back! The “Worldwide” boyband dropped some “big time” news today when they announced two reunion shows later this year.
The pop boy band, comprised of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena-Vega and Logan Henderson, formed through their hit Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush. From 2009 to 2013, when the band announced an indefinite hiatus in order for the members to pursue solo careers, Big Time Rush “ruled the world.”
After the band’s show was put on Netflix this past year, Rushers quickly felt the nostalgia and dived back into their Big Time Rush eras. Fans brought back the merch and memories, looking back on those early 2000 memories the boys brought.
With everyone’s reclaimed love for BTR, fans were, of course, wanting a reunion. While the boys are still very much close friends, and have never opposed getting back together, a reunion wouldn’t be in the cards. Or so fans thought, until this past week when all four members changed their social media profile pictures to solid red, the band’s signature color. Fans immediately questioned this sudden change with tweets and TikToks of reunion speculation.
Today Rushers dreams came true when the band announced, in true BTR, comedic form, a show December 15 in Chicago and December 18 in New York City. We hope this is the beginning of many more shows for the band, but if not we will still cherish the two.
Registration for pre-sale tickets are available on the Big Time Rush website.
