Betty Who is back! Almost exactly a month after the release of “Ignore Me”, her first single since becoming independent, she delighted fans with the release of the track’s video this morning. The video starts of with Betty in the same pose and outfit as the single cover, her mouth and nose covered by a white turtleneck, with her signature perfectly quaffed platinum hair on full display. The track’s gleamy synths open up the video, with Betty removing the turtleneck from her face, so she can sing along with the sleek, poppy production.
Done in entirely one shot, the video features contrasting black and white in the outfits, lighting, and the wall in the middle. The wall however lifts up on occasion, letting Betty and her male dance partner share the floor together, and partake in some sexy and energetic dance scenes, that perfectly match the song’s vibe. The color scheme does change however, as when the song breaks into it’s final chorus, pink and purple lights fill the space, while Betty and her dance partner explode into their most energetic dance sequence yet. All in all, “Ignore Me” is everything and more we could hope for in a Betty Who video, and the fact that it was done in one shot makes it all the more impressive.
