Nashville-based alt-rock band Betcha released their latest single “Closer to the Sun” last Friday, August 14th. The single dropped alongside a hysterical companion video in which the lead singer, Charlie Greene, goes on a ridiculous chase to impress a girl he met from the bar.
See the “Closer to the Sun” video below:
The “Closer to the Sun” video and song also feature fellow band members Ben Booth (lead guitar), Taylor Dubray (bass, keys), and Chase Wofford (drums). The four first united at Belmont University under the name Wilder, where they won the university’s “Battle of the Bands”. Betcha has been praised for their distinctness of sound as they create genre-bending music. They recently toured for Jam In The Van’s “Jam In YOUR Van” fundraiser to benefit the Sweet Relief Musician Fund’s COVID-19 Fund. You can stream the full performance on Facebook.
