At midnight today, Bea Miller released her newest single “wisdom teeth.” It is her first song of 2020, even though her 2019 single “feel something,” became very popular this year after going viral and amassing over 155 million streams. It became part of the Euphoria makeup challenge on Tik Tok, which helped it gain 3.4 billion video views and 1.3 million video creations on the app.

21-year-old Miller started her music career back in 2012 as a contestant on season two of The XFactor USA when she was just 13-years-old. She came in ninth place. She later released her debut EP Young Blood in 2014 and debut album Not an Apology in 2015.
Not an Apology included two gold-selling singles and charted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200. Her single “like that” from her 2018 album aurora also went gold.
Last year, she headlined her first North American tour “nice to meet u.” It began on April 23, 2019 in St. Paul, MN and ended on May 18, 2019 in Vancouver, B.C. It sold out in may locations across the United States like Atlanta, GA and Dallas, TX.
She also embarked on another tour “sunsets in outerspace” at the end of 2019, which took her to European venues in London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin. Between tours she performed at festivals like Lollapalooza, Firefly, and Austin City Limits.
“Wisdom teeth” is part of her upcoming EP elated!, which is set to release on October 23. It reflects on her childhood and the innocence, wisdom, and confidence she lost as she got older. The main point that she makes is that she wants the girl she used to be back.
