We are thrilled to announce the release of the single “I Can’t Stop Crying” from Bronx-based alternative/RnB artist Jessa, an allegory of the roller coaster of emotions one goes through after a painful breakup.
Showcasing various perspectives of her healing process after being dumped from a toxic relationship, the track serves as a diary for her to explore her pain-ridden emotions through a sultry, heartfelt melody. Detailing a relationship that led her to spiral into depression and culminating in getting dumped, the track serves as her most vulnerable piece to date.
“People are ashamed to say they’ve been dumped, but being dumped was one of the best things that could have happened to me.”
The song’s structure mirrors her year of pain and healing. The first verse was penned with her ex in his home studio, serving as a real-time snapshot of the relationship where she recognized things had gone south.
“I can’t stand the way you’re looking at me right now / actin like no matter what you do I’ll stick around.”
The second verse was written after she was dumped – listeners see their relationship from a different perspective, her lyrics filled with agony as she calls him out for being a gaslighter.
“Pour gasoline all on me that’s assault babe / then I burn n u say it’s my fault.”
The bridge, written months later, shows Jessa in a better mental state as she bids him good riddance.
Jessa also released the music video to accompany the track, directed and edited by the talented Rlyblonde.

The 25-year-old songwriter has spent her time learning, developing, and chasing a dream that has existed for as long as she can remember. Her earliest memory of knowing music is the path she would pursue dates back to the early age of 4, when she asked her grandpa to build her a purple and blue stage in the basement of her childhood home so that she could practice performing.
RnB massively played a role in her upbringing being that her father was an artist manager that was a key player in breaking Alicia Keys.
Prior to the release of this latest track, she has released other singles “Want Me,” “No Better,” and “Regular,” which all showcase her sultry, soulful vocals.
With “I Can’t Stop Crying,” the artist invites listeners along on her healing journey through her painfully honest lyricism, embodying the true spirit of modern R&B as she bares her soulful achings through her silky smooth vocals and sultry melodies.
