For all the couples out there looking for some gift ideas for their boo, Allen Stone and company are here to bring Valentine’s Day to you with a special virtual concert.
Airing live on February 12, the “ALLEN-Tines Day Special” will feature soul singer Teddy Swims (who you may know from his viral YouTube covers), Tommy Cantillon and Julian Gavilanes as they will be performing many throwback R&B hits. The four-man ensemble has dubbed themselves ‘Round’N 3rd’ to fit the 90s boy band theme of their concert.
In an Instagram post, Stone revealed several songs off the setlist, including covers of “No Diggity” by Blackstreet, “Back At One” by Brian McKnight, “U Got It Bad” by Usher and more! So far, this is looking to be an all-star setlist.
The announcement had been teased for weeks on his Live At The Lodge podcast series, where Stone has conversations and performs live music, both from his own and covers of others. On the recent episode, Swims was a special guest — performing covers of Hall & Oates’s “Sara Smile,” Mario’s “Let Me Love You,” and more.
It’s been over a year since the release of his fourth album, Building Balance, a project which included fan favorites such as “Give You Blue,” “Sunny Days,” and “Consider Me.” He has been quiet in terms of new music, although that hasn’t stopped the soul artist from keeping his fans happy.
The pandemic hit the music industry hard, forcing many artists to cancel their tours, leaving us suffering from concert and live music withdrawals. But Allen Stone has been able to find a way to give live music to his fans, whether that be through his podcast or virtual concerts, such as the Christmas special he held in December.
The Valentine’s concert is several weeks away. So in the meantime, if you’ve missed hearing live music, then check out Stone’s Live At The Lodge where you can watch over 40 episodes of soulful music performances both on Patreon and on Facebook.
Starting at $12, fans can buy their tickets to the Valentine’s Day special here. With Brian McKnight and Usher on the setlist, there’s no amount of flowers and chocolates that could beat this throwback concert. Don’t miss out on this “ALLEN-Tine’s” special.
