Pop/Country singer Alec Bailey dropped his first single of 2020 “Chernobyl” perfect to add to your heartbreak playlist.
The North Carolina native started playing guitar and writing songs at 13 and grew his following on the infamous Vine app and through Youtube covers. He later moved to Los Angeles but decided to make his home in Nashville. Although he hasn’t released very much of his own music in the past few years, with only five other singles, he has had major success including his debut single “Callin’ which garnered over 3.6 million streams on Spotify and appeared on “New Music Friday.” Along with his follow-up single, “Grip” which surpassed another 3.1 million Spotify streams. To date, Alec has amassed over 10 million streams all independently.
His newest single “Chernobyl,” a heavy guitar-focused and eccentric track, tells the heartbreaking story of the ups and downs of a relationship and looking back on a past relationship when seeing the person who broke your heart singing “I’ve been in danger, now we’re just strangers.”
Bailey has been working on new music for the past year and by the sound of this new single. it sets the tone for even more beautiful crafted music.
